Am slowly getting things back together, but had a fitment issue with the drivers side brake. The spindle and chassis are from another car, but the caliper bracket and the caliper are from my original car.
When I tightened the caliper it pull so far to the inboard side that I had a gap on the outside between the rotor and pad. Some one suggested I just bend the bracket, but was worried that in would not stay parallel.
So I welded a spacer onto the bracket, then used feeler gauges to get the same space on either side of the the pads inside the caliper then machining the rings down to that point so that it all stayed parallel.
IO did check to make sure I had the front rotors installed, as I said it was only the drivers side.
But I'm second guessing myself now, do you guys think this fix will work?
Thanks George
