Blower Motor Replace Tips

Just replaced the blower motor. Couple of tips that are not mentioned in the repair manual.
Tip 1. You need to remove the rear 1/2 of the wheel well, but there is a wire harness attached on the motor side, so when it won't come out after you have removed the screws, don't yank on it. Leave the harness and just let the piece sit loose. When you go to re assemble, the Wiring harness will foul between the frame and the well panel. Just need to move the thing accordingly. but before you replace any screws

Tip 2. I discovered a rubber tube mounted on the bottom of the blower box. The tube has a flattened bottom end
and I am not sure what it is supposed to do, but mine was plugged solid with crud, insects, etc. I don't know if it affects the life of the fan motor, but its an easy clean (just need to remove the right lower body panel same as the battery panel). Might be something you want to check.

Tip 3.Be patient, lining up the body panel is a PIA.
