Blower motor keeps running on low

[Cracker]

Hey...I have a 1980 with A/C and the blower motor runs on low as soon as the key is turned on. Even though the heater control is set to the off position. All other settings work fine it just runs constantly at low even when I want the fan off. Any suggestions?

That’s normal as GM had instituted that all vehicles always receive fresh air sometime in the 70’s IIRC.

If memory serves me correctly the reason the fan is always on is to maintain a positive pressure in the car to prevent it from drawing in exhaust fumes.
