Blacked out tailight removal

has anyone tried removing these tailight covers? I understand they are illegal in a lot of states and we are planning a trip and don't need the aggrivation .... they are really stuck so was hoping for some hints

Not sure how they are put on Bob......but you might try a heat gun.

yes got a call in to Manny, thanks Brian, i'll try the heat gun today, they sure are on there and not much room to get behind them!

Bob, the lenses themselves come out fairly easily.
That might help in the covers' removal.

You might offer an 'even' trade with someone that wants tinted lens' on their ride.
A simple swap and two people are happy.

success! got them off in tact, even the tape can be reused, the heat gun did the trick. For Sale... 4 tailight blackout plastic pieces .10c .... you pay shipping lol

Glad to hear you were able to remove the film. Definitely worth not attracting extra attention when travelling.

I just ordered the black out kit, should be here this week. I think it will look great with having the windows tinted as well.
