It never pays to get cocky out there. You never know what the other guy has. These days you don't need a 671 blower sticking a mile out of the hood to be quick and fast. In fact, there are cars that don't even have lumpy cams yet make good horsepower numbers. It's neat when you see something like this happen.

Haha. That's awesome. I used to have a '87 Chevette that I stuffed a LT1 out of a 96 Camaro into. It was quite possibly the most fun I've ever had in a vehicle. The look on a mustang owners face when you blew his doors off was priceless. I kinda wish I didn't sell it.

A friend was driving his '69 SS Chevelle on highway 400 past Parry Sound. A newer 505 hp 427 Corvette thought he was going to impress my buddy. Little did the guy know that under the hood was a $15K built 496 big block under the hood of the Chevelle. The Corvette guy was pretty surprised when he got a good look at Chevelle tail lights. You just NEVER know what the other guy has. Most are bluff but some are loaded for bear. A friend was in yesterday and he too has a 496 in a '70 Chevelle. Looks stock as can be right down to the 163 intake.

He has destroyed two supposedly heavy duty driveshafts. I think there is something else at play there other than just brute horse power. The rivalry between old and new is always fun.
