Watchya doing with the ride? Have an 08 base I track and started with tires, wheels, brakes, handling; gotta look after the reigns & whoa before jumping on the giddyup, its amazing on the track. Done a bunch of stuff & on way to more but best advice I received so I'll pass on is to start with the driver; before going to the track it was all about the car, a weekend at the track is humbling & taught me that the car is way better than I am. After many track days & with help of more experienced drivers started out with own mods & its so much fun. Tires came first of course, which means considering wheels as well, being fairly tight with the tires ;) ended up with Hancook PS4's on CCW Corsair C10 forged 18" wheels, 10" wide on front, 11 on rear, more rubber for 18" wheels & of course rubber different on front & rear so circumference matches stock 275/35R18 & 295/40R18 respectively. Just saying, they're a blast, 200 TW won't last forever but best mix for street & track, any stickier (less than 200 TW) & too sticky for street, just picks up junk. Enough for now https://ccwheel.com/wheels/#corsair

It depends whether you have an LS2, LS3, base or Z51, then what you plan to do with the car, so if you define all that, then people can share similar setups. Check the C6 section of corvetteforum.com, Tech/Performance and C6 Scan and Tune.

Tires are probably the simplest and most effective way to increase performance. Check out Tire Rack Max Performance Summer: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=MP and Ultra High Performance Summer: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=UHP

Dollar and level of complication for gains wise, headers and tune will probably see the biggest gains, followed by heads and intake manifold. The biggest exhaust restriction by far is the headers, so mid pipe and mufflers are mostly sound. Air intake if a true CAI sees gains but anything with an under hood filter might see a gain on a dyno in an ideal situation but will suffer from heat soak while driving. Cam will tie everything together but you really need to define your goal because HP gains at the top end can mean torque losses at the bottom depending how aggressive you go.
