I can leave my 2010 Avalanche sitting for 5 or 6 weeks and it starts with no issues when I come home. The C6 on the other hand, I can only leave for about 2 or 3 weeks at the most. If I am not going to be driving it for more than a few days, then I plug it in just to be safe.
