Hi to all,

I have these two battery chargers. Which one can I use for the C8?

Thanks!

Ian

You need to hear from C8 owners. On my C7, 2016, there is a dedicated outlet in the trunk
that is meant to be used for when your car is not being used. For the C7, you must use that
outlet. The reason being that all other outlets, eg. cig. lighter, shut down after the car is
turned off. So trying to keep the battery charged via the lighter doesn't work !!
Older 'vettes do not present the same problem; my C6, Z06 could be maintained via the
cig.lighter with no problem.
My 2002, 911TT was quite happy being maintained by the Cetek charger.
Hope this helps.
Tony

Quite likely it is mentioned in the owner's manual. As it is for the C7.
As mentioned above the C7 has a continuously "live" power outlet on the passenger side of the trunk. It is "live" at all times even when the car is shutdown. Your C8 probably has the same type of arrangement and it would/should be mentioned in the manual

Mine came with the tender as did my previous C7 which plugged in the trunk. My C8 has an outlet in the front trunk .
The tender was an option on the C7 so maybe it was/is also an option on the C8. If the box isn't ticked off you don't get one. Of course if you already have a few tenders it doesn't matter too much if they have the correct connections

Tenders are an option for the C8, but at a substantial markup to get the Corvette logo.
That is what I thought as well. He can always print out a Corvette flag or Stingray logo and paste it over the Porsche tender. LOL
There is another thread on here about battery tenders at a significant price reduction to a GM branded tender. Some good recommendations as to brands

Without question ... the bottom plug-in one for a C7 and C8. jmo as it is so much easier that way
