Yep finally someone put out a myth-busting video on the practice commonly referred to as 'Pick steering or headers' or header clearancing. Refreshing to see that no amount of header bashing caused ANY loss in power on a back to back engine dyno.



 
If that doesn't cause power loss, then the headers are too large for the engine size/exhaust requirements. Basically, those primaries are too big for the SBC, and a smaller size would yield higher horsepower as they would scavenge better. There is a good discussion on LS1tech on this issue.

a dyno result and a drag strip result are two different things.
