Arun cam + Manny = faster!

I've run a gazillion 11.50 ish passes in my little heads/cam C5 with a Vangnce cam, no issues for the last 3 seasons with it, but boredom and the urge to spend money I haven't even earned yet prompted me to try an Arun custom grind cam.....Manny popped it in and Arun tuned it, cam only gained 37 RWHP on Manny's dyno......looks like no more track this year, but drove it on dry roads today for the 1st time and SOTP feels like another tenth or 2 for sure! Thanks yooz guys!

Nice! Mid 11's are still nothing to sneeze at. I'm sure that your new cam will help lower that. Where do you figure you'll pick it up? Top end or bottom end? What other mods do you have?

That's a 37 RWHP over a Venegence VRX grind with XER lobes -Arun has a proprietary lobe grind that's easier on the springs and exhaust valves...other mods are Lingenfelter ported 243s, Aruns BT dual springs,, LG long tube pros with high flow cats, 25% UD pulley, Yellow Terror shaft mount roller rockers, 2800 Vig, 3.42, Arun tune, maybe a few other small things I've forgotten.....best time in the past was 11.48 @ 123 with a Blackwing, Manny put a Vararam on it now but haven't been able to try it all out at the track....this cam picks up big from 2500 RPM and goes from there but feels pretty close to the same while driving around town......maye I'll go up to a 3400 Vig.....a 4000 will give me a high 10 but will suck around town though....
Yeah Manny, Steven and Jason are both faster than me in my own car, but I'm faster than Teri and Eileen! maybe a little more practice is what I need!
So basically Manny left me smilin, but my wallet's cryin!
