Thanks for allowing me to post up for you Duff and tell all about your visit from Trenton to Cambridge, to see our Vette guru Manny for a little of his magic.

Manny and Rob were busy guys Monday night with much to do already and then we invaded. :D There must have been 6 or 7 'vettes of varying years and colours attending for one reason or another and was it busy and crowded.
As Duff had mentioned, Manny was patient and a great host even had time to talk to an old gasbag like me for a minute or 2 -- so kudos to Manny from us all for getting thru the night with little to eat (we know you missed supper) and keeping your sanity. -- I wouldn't have blamed you for clearing house and wanting to get down to business asap, but you got it done, and even chatted with us to boot............:D
I can only hope you're as patient when I come visit on Sunday.:D
I promise I'll try to say nothing and not interfere. (I also have a bridge in New York for sale but more about that later.)

Duff was the man who had the cam. I was a dope and forgot mine. DOHHHH!!!!

No worries. Here's what we got: Pics include Duff's Red C6 beauty, to Brian's Shiny Yellow C4 rag, to the Lemans Blue C6 coupe with skirts and airdam and new TT hood, (loved that car. very striking and great kit), to Dangerous Dan's red C5 creation (700hp to the wheels!) to my C6 Chrystal Red Grand Sport with a " great rear end" :D, to a few I've forgotten already, so without any more gab, here they are including a short vid of Duff's ride from when he got it late last year, and in no particular order; so humble apologies for mixing them up:D
Oh yeah can't forget the little red C6 bomb with an exhaust that we heard, it seemed, all the way to Kitchener after leaving Manny's. We all loved it but agreed that it was probably a little too much for most of us. Music to listen to tho.

The very first pic of the first post is live. Click on it and you should be able to view the video since I set the privacy to public viewing (photobucket).

If you cannot view it, please advise and I'll fix it.

Thanks for listening.....and thanks for looking.......we had a great evening thanks to all whom attended and special thanks to Duff who made the long trip from Trenton to CAmbridge, and to Brain who made the long trip from Caledonia to say hi to us and show us his great '88 convert.

Was really nice to meet you guys....can't wait to hook up again and see all those beauty rides -- probably May 26th at the Coping Corvette Charity event, or maybe sooner Duff (wink wink. ahem ahem Hercules ahem ahem Hercules ahem ahem, Waterloo Wellington or Hamilton or ????? :D .

I'm bushed. Gots to hit the hay --- almost 1am ....... and not much left in the tank........

Laters guys,

Colin.

Yes Colin, it was great to get out and meet up with you guys. Manny is a talented guy and it was a pleasure being at his place and seeing all the cool Vetts. Made my old bucket humble in the presents of so many nice new machines.

Thanks to all, was a great night out..... and a nice hours ride up from Caledonia.

That looked more like an envasion than a visite.. wow so many corvettes in a driveway... Manny will soon be giving out autographs....:D That visit seemed to be lots of fun, just wish I could live a little closer..... Glad to see you guys having a great time... See you all soon.

WOW! What a meet! Looks like you guys had a great time. Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures Colin. It's great to see what is happening out east! As for us out west, we are still waiting for an official start. The forecast of 50+ cm of snow this weekend may delay it by a day or two.

HERC visit

so Manny et all within the Cambridge, Kitchner-Waterloo area

can any of you make it to the Kitchner Waterloo airport next Friday for lunch ?

If the weather cooperates we plan to fly in for lunch after a morning of Search and rescue training nearby - if there is enough interest and folks plan to come - I will ask the aiport manager to see if we can get your vettes on the flight line for a photo op

Woohoo! That's what I'm talkin' about! Just logged in from a busy day, Duff.
I'm definitely down for next Friday and I suspect many more will want a part of that. :D

I'll get together with Manny and discuss a call to the WW airport manager about our runway visit.
Damn. this is gonna be so cool.

Forward any pertinent info that you can and we'll see what we can arrange from this end.

Got all your pics Duff and the aerial views too. Want more; want more; want more. :D -- when you get a chance please.

Pardon the late reply. Had a very busy couple days with many things but all good now.

Will chat with Manny soon and will see him Sunday AM for my LG install and tunes.
I'll holler back with details shortly after and post up.

Did I say this is gonna be so cool? YEAH!!!

Thanks Duff,

Colin.

If I forget my cam this time I'll kick my own behind.

sounds good

I will post more once I speak to the aiport manager next week

just to clarify - I will be looking for permission to get the cars close to the aircraft on the ramp for the handler where we get our fuel - not the RUNWAY !

who do you think I am ? Maverick from Top Gun ? I'm only human :D

Getting close to the runway would not at all be possible :nono:

more next week

What! I was hoping to park in the back of the herc. to get out of the sun. No can do huh?
.......and I was at least hoping we could run with you as you took off?

Sean, I'm sure whatever you can arrange will be just fine mon ami. Don't worry we'll park where we're supposed to.:D

Good luck with the arrangements. We look forward to hearing from you.

Not sure how many can attend but there may be quite a few.

Cheers,
Colin
