Anybody using a Exhaust cut-out switch?

Found these at maryland speedway. A cut out system for a stock C6.
Any comments? Concerns?

No concerns that I know of. I plan to put a similar set on my Chevelle activated by a limit switch on the carb when the pedal is at full throttle! Weeeeeeee...oh and a switch on the dash to turn the system on of off as an uncorked exhaust is wicked loud.

Does bypassing the mufflers on a street car really help? Only thing that I can conclude is that you MIGHT get a few more ponies on the extreme top end but on a non-race motor isn't really the only thing you're going to experience is a loss of low end torque?

I am looking for a better sound, and with the bypass, I can keep the day to day driving sound quiet, just like the wife likes, quiet! But still have a little fun at times.
