But... now I KNOW they weren't kidding when they said I was stealing my car when I gave them the cheque for $20k for a car with 34k... I'm SOOOOO lucky. I probably wouldn't have bought a vette at all if I wouldn't have lucked out like I did.

No problem, I didn't take it that way at all. 20K for your car is excellent. I think the going rate for Z's are low to mid 30's for 02-04's.
