CDN for the set they want $2600 + Shipping + Tax over what the LPO would have cost us from the dealer at $5695 = tax .....ARGGGGGGG so 12 orders on the production line could not get done because .... These guys have our backs?????

GM is also to blame for releasing these rather than honouring their builds in the system seems to me there is some skulduggery going on here.

The other thing that gets me is that this is the 1st day of delivery, and they have the audacity to post this video ...oh we ordered one for our C8 and somehow we got these other 12 and we will pass this along to our customers at a 45% mark up WTF ?

I'll post this info here too ... not to resolve or save $$$ but rather to put out options ...

It is early in the "C8 game" and I'm thinking Exotic Car Gear will eventually have C8 options. They have parts made for all the exotics and are a "get what you pay for" Company that manufacturers the parts they sell. I just received a box full of C7 parts last fall - 100% Real Carbon Fibre. Not to take away from ACS because it's an "apple/orange" comparison. If it's gonna cost a pile, that's when I consider the quality/construction of the part that I am buying. Consider calling them to see if they have any plans for C8 parts. Real Carbon Fiber parts are worth their price ... the simulated carbon fiber look is what it is.

Give it a bit of time and there will be a flurry of aftermarket activity for add on items, carbon fiber, poly, fiber glass, etc. And they will get cheaper as time goes on. Patience will be an ally.

Agreed ... except I've have learned that for 100% real carbon fiber, it actually can get more expensive and eventually unavailable. As I found some suppliers list it, pre-sell it with a mark-up and then just obtain it from another source. Makes for returning such items nearly impossible. So I look for manufacturers for 100% real carbon fiber. JMO
