A sign of the (economic) times finally in Alberta......................

Good morning,

You hear about the economy tanking nationally, repo companies in Alberta reporting that business is up 25% this year over 2014 (which was a record year too apparently), houses in Calgary selling for 20% under their asking price etc. and how much worse it could possibly get.

But sadness hits home, when, if this is due to an economic issue, you find a DaSilva modded car that is being put up for sale:

Chevrolet : Corvette Z16 Grand Sport 3LT SC 720HP 5 more cars 4 sale

along with 4 other cars that would probably be fun to own.....................

A shame and I hope it finds a new and happy owner!

This car was just purchased at the end of October from me. The other owner before me was CCO. It was shipped to Alberta from NewBrunswick.

Wowsers. This person has a pretty impressive collection if they are all his. And in Breton to boot. I bet his cars (if this is on the up and up) are the biggest coffee talk of the 450 people who live there. His prices don't seem to be out of line either. US dollar does kick us a bit. Weird they don't seem to be listed on Kijiji though unless he's purposely aiming for the US market. Does appear that way.

If anyone is interested, I did stumble across an Edelbrock Eforce Stage 2 SC for a C6 on Kijiji. He's trading the car and wants to swap the supercharger for a stock intake.... with $3,500.00 added of course.... still.... an $8000.00 (ish) new SC.

OMG! Colin's old car is in Alberta?? Sort of makes me sad as when I saw it last it was at Manny's and it was still Colin's.................

True any of those cars would be a real blast to drive. I actually had a fit of stupidity when I thought hey I should pick one of those up. But maybe considering a move and have to look at getting a house perhaps within the next year if things work out. I'll be thrilled to have my car both more rarely seeing gravel and inside a garage!! Maybe down the road it will need a garage mate though!

While not as nice have having Colin in-province a little piece of him is still giving me warm fuzzies!

I find it odd that there are odd collections of cars where you'd never expect them. There is a fellow about 2 miles from me with a renovated machine shop with a C5, 1st gen Camero and a whole slew of other old Detroit. I get a peek inside when I drive by when he has a door open and can see a bunch of cars on the floor and on hoists but have never stopped in.........probably should one day though.............

The guy who now has the car listed is the 3rd owner. The car works and looks great. The only reason i sold it is because i wanted to get a stock car, which i did a 2013 4lt annaversary edition with 11,000km. If i lived in Ontario closer to Manny's shop i would of kept the car, there isn't to many shop's like Manny's here in NewBrunswick and its too far of a tow if anything ever went wrong
