73 Vette door adjustment

i am in the process of aligning the doors on my 73, i have the height pretty good but want to move the door towards the rear about an 1/8 of an inch, i adjusted the hinges that attach to the door but that only gave me up and down movement, will loosening the pillar side of the hinge give me horizontal movement? sorta hard to get at so i am asking before i attempt to loosen the bolts, thanks for any suggestions,

I believe the hinges get shimmed to adjust forward/back. I remember removing a "stack" of shims when I removed my doors. Someone else can chime in if I am remembering poorly!

Shims/washers. You'll need to add at th the "A" post, behind the hinge to close that gap.

Whatever you do, beware the Dorman pin/bushing set from rock auto. It was not the right one for me.
