If there's no pressure at all and you don't hear any rattling when working it, my guess it's likely come unhooked from the rod to the door latch assembly. You'll see soon enough when you remove the inside door panel.

Top right in the diagram......"rod clip" is the likely culprit. They were thin steel, then converted to plastic. Either case, it's the weakest piece in the latch assembly.
