Got a problem removing an axle and bearing assy from my 62 diff. Tried all the usual slide hammers etc--no go. Bearing is probably rusted in or there is an interference fit. Is there a broaching tool? OR Do I chain the axle to a power pole and give the axle one heck of a pull (after chaining the opposite end of the diff to another pole)? These covid projects are interesting today the least.

Hi Bob, can be a no fun job ! I have had to resort to attaching a length of chain to one of the wheel bolts and by "whipping " the chain it snaps the bearing loose from the housing (assuming of course that the four retaining bolts are out)
On another note, I'm replacing the lens on the tach and not sure if it's supposed to be convex or concave installation? Believe it's concave but taken apart too long ago to be sure.
