Good Morning everyone,
I expect everyone to make fun of me for this, but i bought a 1976 Stingray with a 454 big block that was been sitting for roughly 10 years. Does run and drive, just have to repack the bearings and bleed the brakes and shell be on the road. although I'm not sure what oil i should put in her and how much it takes due to the engine swap from the stock 350 to the new 454... If someone could help me with this fact, it would be muchly appreciated.

.....sounds cool, it will take 4 quarts......something like 4 1/2 to 5 liters, just depends if it has the short or long oil filter so you have to check when filling. Can use a good grade of conventional motor oil, #30 is fine or can use a multigrade like 10-30. If you find it is using oil then can put in heavier stuff like 20-50. Synthetic oil is more expensive and the older engines were not really designed for it but it can be used if you prefer too.
