The heat vents on both side of rear hatch window has anyone covered them completely? I purchased the one piece units for each sine and the have an adhesive to hold them in place are they mention to stay in all the time or only for pressure washing

I don't think they are just for styling .

The vents in front of the rear wheels on a C8 Corvette serve the purpose of relieving built-up air pressure inside the wheel arches. This helps reduce aerodynamic lift and provides extra stability at performance driving speeds. Additionally, some vents on the C8, especially on higher performance versions like the ZR1, are designed to cool components such as brakes or transmission oil, enhancing thermal management and maintaining peak performance. These vents are not just for show but have key aerodynamic and cooling functions.

I would install them permanently if I had the coin. Tired of detailing my engine bay from the road debris and occasional weather I drive through...
Just leave the trunk open during the car wash! :p

Made thick cardboard inserts to size & wrapped them in fiber tape to fit in all 6 vents, cover engine with towel and block bottom glass opening. Wash at home only! Not everyone’s solution but works perfectly leaving a dry engine bay.

purchase a large beach towel from Walmart.
At car wash, open rear and spread towel across the entire engine bay
Close rear opening and wash car
Remove towel after washing
easy peasy...........
And for the bottom glass open area, Cut and fit a piece of foam pipe insulation
Great idea with a large towel

I always foam and and wash at home.

I think people aren't sure exactly what vents and what covers you're talking about. A picture or two might help. If you're talking about the vents directly beside the rear window glass, do NOT cover those when the car is in operation. Those are very important to keep engine bay temps in the acceptable range.
