Well, got a call from a dealer to-day offering to sell me a 2023 black 3LZ HTC Z06 - non Z07 car. MSRP, I believe is $172K very well optioned. Not a fan of black in this car because, for some reason, to me you lose the nice lines of the C8. Don't need Z07 pkg. so that is okay. More importantly, they are asking $50K over MSRP - ouch. I would trade my car in because here in B.C. with all the taxes, it makes sense to do so. They are putting a deal together to present to me. Should be interesting. First, what are they going to give me for my loaded 2022 HTC 3LT Z51 - MSRP $122K - with 5000 Km on it and will they negotiate? $50K over seems a bit much - $25 to $ 30K I could stomach - maybe - LOL. Hope everyone has a great weekend - nice weather so we can drive our vettes.

Interesting predicament to be involved in. Let us us know how each step of the process goes....
Yes, well, I know that if I want a Z06 I will not be able to order one. A few dealers here told me that they probably will sell over MSRP for the Z06 and E-Ray; but, surely not by $50K. I am not getting any younger - so, we shall see?
Have a great weekend.

There was a previous post on here (On sale, 70% off) about a Z06 being offered at a Dealer in Kelowna.
I'm not sure if this is the same car or not.

Beautiful car (yes, it is black, which is what I want).
Nice people (I spoke with them).
It is $100,000.00 over the $179,000.00 MRSP, which is bad enough, but then you pay taxes on the 'premium as well.
By the time everything was said and done, to put this car into my driveway at home in Ontario, I would have been out $350,974.00.
I respectfully declined.

Yes, this would be the car for sure. $229K less my trade + taxes - a fair bit of $$$$.

Get a Batman costume, and treat the neighbourhood kids to a visit from the Caped Crusader, next Halloween.

Supply and demand, I suppose.
Essentially I left it that were the 'premium' to be "drastically" reduced, then we could talk.
For you, they have already cut it in half, although who knows what they have in mind on your trade-in.
Best of luck.
Yes, that is the big question? I would have to drive (4.5hr) there to look at the car. I like black, but, not on the C8. Maybe , if the price were to fit , I could like it - not sure? I would for the premium get it PPF and ceramic coated by them as part of any deal.

Adrenaline Red seats, door trim and centre console inside, with Torch Red outside. Less black to heat up in the summer sun? I had a '73 Mustang ragtop, and I can't remember how many times I burned the backs of my legs and arms getting into it after only a few minutes, top down, in the sun. All black interior.

JCWP,
I'm sure if you send these guys enough information on your existing ride they can tell you what it's worth (+/- $5k).
You already have a nice C8, so things are a bit different, but if I were 'face-to-face' with the car, being forced to decide, I'm afraid logic would take a back seat.
Keep me posted.

They'll make 50k+ from you and another 20 from your trade-in so it'll work in their favour. Doubt they'll pull 100k over asking in these times.

As above, ask them for a realistic quote on your trade-in before you embark on your journey. By the time you get there you should be signing paperwork not negotiating. If you commit to a 5 hour drive each way they sort of have a fair bit of leverage.

I wouldn’t buy a Z06 unless at least the exterior colour appealed to me. I’ve turned down 2 Z06’s offered to me so far, at $50K over MSRP and both weren’t what I’d ever order so I didn’t try and negotiate, although I was warned they were likely firm on the price. Perhaps I’m being an optimist, but with increased Z06 production and rising prices, too many f’n taxes and a shaky economy, which will cause people to drop out of the race, just MAYBE more will come available at closer to MSRP for those of us who are patient. Good luck whatever you do.

Thanks. Yeah, I am not excited about the color or the wheels. I would be happy with all the options; but, like you say - if paying that kind of $$$$$ maybe wait and see?

I'm sure not going to pay someone a 'premium' and not get exactly what I want.
Firstly, my Wife would slap me so hard on the back of my head that I wouldn't be able to drive it anyhow.
Secondly, Yes, as the supply catches up with the demand, these are bound to come down to a realistic number.

Just spoke to the sales rep. a few minutes ago. car sold this am. to local guy who traded in a 2021 C8 HTC with a fairly high mileage on it. He told me that they would give me $108K trade-in - $25K federal luxury tax, $23K or so PST and GST for out of pocket cash payment of $180K all in. He said he may have been able to get me a bit more for trade-in? If you had no trade-in the car would be over $300K living here in the socialist domain of B.C. They sold between 35 & 40 C8 last year - people buy from them from all over. He may have another Z06 coming in?? The federal luxury tax is a big deal; then, there is the BC luxury sales tax. Insane.

$108,000 trade-in for a 2022 3LT Z51 HTC is a very low
