2023 C8 Production Start Delayed

According to the Corvette Action Center today, the start of the previously announced 2023 Stingray production has been delayed by a week, which matches the time the plant was recently shut down. I expect this comes as no surprise, given the circumstances. It also mentions Z06 ordering might be "late Spring" however I expect that's overly optimistic since elsewhere the expectation seems to be the Z06 won't be available until mid-July or into August. All TBA...

They, put in, my fourth order , 2020,2021,2022, now a 2023 a week ago. GM hates Quebec, I am sure. To answer your ? , no. I only have an order number.

You make me laugh. GM doesn't hate anyone. They just don't do well in Quebec so it's not high on their priority list. No company will ignore a lucrative market. It's counter productive.

I know, but making customers wait 26 months and others have gotten up to 3 C8s ,it doesn't look good. Besides whatever happened to first come first serve. I'm just getting very impatient. Been waiting for a car like this all my life. I know one thing, this is my last GM, for myself. Wife can do what she wants.

It's because the dealer doesn't earn the Corvettes. Allocations only go to dealers who sell them and other cars. I've been told that other cars sell better in Quebec than GM's so the market doesn't support GM like it does other makes.

Yes that is true , Quebecers , buy cars that take you from point A to B. But we do have a large group of Mustang owners and Corvettes. This province buys Korean and Japanese cars. Electric is getting popular though. My dealer is a certified Chevy, Buick, GMC, Corvette, dealer. I should of pursued my calls to Ontario for a C8 but I kept getting promises , like , don t worry , you are going to get a 2021 , then it was a 2022 and we know how that ended!

GM has nothing to do with your wait, your dealer sales history of C7's earned C8 allocations, either they weren't honest with you about what they could get or you didn't ask the right questions. I feel bad for you because I'm on my 2nd new C8 at MSRP with a Z06 order soon

Probably has to do with lack of honesty. I just live in the wrong province.
