2002 Corvette Salvage on Bids

Anyone know this car? I cannot open the estimate on the car but it looks like the body is pretty solid and even undamaged. Wonder what is underneath. If anyone else can open the information I would be curious to know what happened to it.

Thanks Eric. It would seem the value in this car would be as parted out. Sad but stuff happens.

.......Insurance prices it out with new parts at retail prices. Alot of that can be picked up used , and if you can do the work yourself it is not that bad. Car may not get any bids , so next round the reserve will drop alot and go from there. If you win and then go see the car and don't like it, then simply refuse it no problems and they relist it again.

That's great idea for someone like you Michael. There are a couple of the mechanical items I think I could handle too... Pretty sure # 58 isn't too far off of my skill range.... If I can google it for help that is... :Ack2:

.....Funny Eric, yeah but at 6 bucks each !! , and #57 ....50 each to install and balance, to me that is nuts, so it adds up quick when they charge outrageous prices for every little thing. Vehicles are getting written off so quick now that it don't make sense. A guy would have to look real close, but I think it would not take much to get this Vette back on the road .

still too much IMO.... not doing the work myself and relying on the insurance estimate, I would be into a 2002 C5 with 124,000 plus km for about $ 23,600..... Gotta pass on that one. Even doing the labour myself (if I was able), it's still not a $20,000 car.... A lot of sweat equity, used parts, and willing to take a chance and maybe.... just maybe..... someone could make it work...
