Hi All,

I am dealing with the door panel lifting and dislodging issue. As part of my repair, I can see that the panel is cracking on the inside at the top and at the back. This is allowing the molded fold to start to break and open up. A little difficult to explain, however there is the possibility to glue the crack and pressure fit the piece back together. Most glues say they will glue plastic but not if they are PP (Polypropylene) or PE (Polyethylene).

Does someone know what type of plastic the door panels are?

Not sure, but I have always had issues with GM interior plastics and cheap plastic. Not sure, but could your fix be accomplished with a two part epoxy and a piece behind to structurally reinforce it? I have found this the best course of action when dealing with plastic repairs.

Thx. I agree, my experience has been a lot of cheap plastic.

The epoxy in this application would be difficult to administer. A little more research has revealed that the plastic is likely:
1. Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (PC/ABS)
