Since it bypasses the resistor it should work no worries.

I had an intermittent no start. I checked the keys for resistance, tried a cheap by pass, but either it didn't work or there was something else messed up. I wound up spending about $400 for a "New Rockies" by pass module. PIA to install as you need to access the CPU behind the radio but.... car always starts.
