1986 Corvette C4

Engine starts and stops in one to two seconds continousley. Once in a while it will run fine. When I shut off the engine and leave it for a few minutes and try to start it goes back to start and stop mode. What could be the problem?

Without having any idea what you've begun checking I'd start by measuring the resistance of the fuel injectors. If their ok then check your fuel pressure, and then ignition module. I guess that's where I'd start.

You nailed it, that is how to start. There is so many things that can cause these symptoms.
