So after looking at many many websites at the fix for the Dim cluster, I have come to the conclusion that the Photocell is the problem.
I have also read that the cell can removed and the contacts (circuit board) shorted out to give permanant bright dash (I have a new Photocell if I have to use it!), The car will probably never be driven at night so not really an issue...
However I am wondering if a resistor should be used for the short - if so does anybody have an idea what size resistor to use?
While the dash is out I will probably refresh the power supply, I have figured out what most of the components are, but if anybody has a component list I would really appreciate.
I work on stuff like this every day so not an issue for the soldering...
I am also looking for a spare cluster to look at repair as a spare if anyone has one!
