Welcome to the forum Fasteddie. In answer to your question, look at the last six digits of your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). In 1977, 49,213 Corvettes Coupes were built. The last six digits started at 400001 and ran thru 449213. Depending on where your VIN falls, this will tell you if it was a late or early build.

Now.... How about introducing yourself in the "New Users" section of the forum, tell us your Corvette story, and post some pictures of your baby... We like pictures here...

Early. A buddy down the street from me has a book that has the build production dates. I believe they started in Late August of 1976. Mine was built on Sept 4 1976. Easy quick ways to tell is the alarm on the fender for early years which later moved to the door. Cross flags were added to the fenders on late model years. Be careful ordering parts as the discriptions won’t always specify weather the part is early or late. Some parts are the same throughout 77 but some are early or late specific.

Here you go. Grab your serial number and no more guesses.... last 6 digits will fall within the month sequence numbers. If indeed yours was built 10th month, yours is between the 10,547th and the 14,216th car built out of a total build in 1977 of 49,213 cars.... And that would be as Jr. and Brian state.... Early.... lol....
