Undo the screws...
Is this a trick question?
If your talking about the stainless rocker panel mouldings below the doors..there are screws located along the relief near the top of the strip. They thread into inserts in the lower body areas.
Sometimes these inserts are rusted bad and can break out of the Fiberglas very easily.
I used stainless screws when I put my trim back on.

Thanks Graham, to be honest I have not gotten down to have a close look yet. I tend to think about what I need to do next day so I research on the web. It sounds pretty simple like most things on the C3 Vette. Most trims are alot more difficult.

Thanks for your help. I guess it wasn't a trick question, just a stupid question.

Not a stupid question at all., it is good to go into something with an informational head start.

It is recommended to locate the screws/inserts and see if you can spray the backside with Liquid Wrench(or similar product) a couple of days before removal.

I installed stainless screws upon reassembly and painted the heads black to match the trim.
You can see in the pic where the insert broke-out in a couple of spots therefore I didn’t re-install the screws. I should fix that someday.

Thanx

Thanks Graham,

This has been really helpful. I like the idea of stainless screws as well.
This forum has saved me alot of time and headache.
