I was at the local Bridgenorth cruise tonight. In came a black '69 Chevelle that was the spitting image of our COPO Chevelle when we had it painted black in about 1973. Under the hood Chris had a 505 hp 427 with an aftermarket intake and other tricks to make a serious amount of hp. He said that he had something to do with Champion Motorsports and knew Manny. When he fired it up, it sounded pretty well like the old big bloch Chevies and not at all like our Corvettes. I guess it is the exhaust system on our cars that gives them that distinctive sound.

Nice car. Looks to be well put together and very straight. I like the "sleeper" look.

Thanks Keith.

The car definitely looked to be well put together and from what he said there is quite a bit of money in the car. He was talking of upwards of 600 rwhp and it didn't sound all that different from our old 427 car.....just a whole lot quicker. all aftermarket suspension too. I'd like to get talking to him again to learn more about the car. Definitely a sleeper.
