So with the old 1966 C10 gone, and looking for another project, I got this 1963 Short Bed. It needs a lot of cab work, and going to build another 5.3L and throw on a turbo, because that sounds like fun ! 👍.
The truck came out of Didsbury Alberta, and was on the road until 1991. Then it was bought from a estate sale in 2019, and sat in a field until I bought it.

Well It runs and drives alright!! Brakes need attention, but it’s a cool ride all original 👍I do feel a little bad about wrecking a original truck and modifying it. But that wouldn’t be much fun leaving it stock 🤣
Your video won't open. Says it's private. Just sayin'

My new Aluminum L33 5.3L for the C10 👍. It’s in need of a rebuild, good thing is I have 2 other L33’s in the garage for parts 🤣.
I was helping out a buddy on his Turbo 5.3L, pulled the engine to do a cam swap, lifters, and trunion upgrade. Tearing it down, found 2-burnt pistons, hard to see, but they were melting down 😬. Crankshaft and rod bearings are toast, this car had about 1 more pass before it went Boom 💥 !
So I traded him a set of LS9 head gaskets for the engine 👍

Got the box removed👍 Always sketchy with ratchet straps! Built a table for my cab, expensive project in its self 🤣, and have the cab ready to do the floors 👍👍. Frame pressure washed, getting it ready to start on the suspension. Busy past couple of nights!! Lots of around the shop, but have to keep reminding myself to slow down and get some sleep 🤣

Sleep is a good thing. Especially when you're playing with electricity at work Dalen.... You're making lots of progress fast though on the 63...

Nice play by play that you're offering us..... looks like you know how to swing a wrench and appear to be doing things right.... love it! You get out of it what you put into it. Looking forward to the upcoming chapters on the build :Cheers2:
Dalen definitely knows how to wrench. He has been entertaining and wowing us regularly over the years with his builds.

Cut out the floor, and test fitted the new floor. The complete floor wasn’t necessary, but saved me from doing 4 patch panels and is worth every penny! It’s a perfect fit!! Doing the kick panels and front and rear pillars, then should be able to flip back over and do the final welds👍 Then L33 is fresh from the machine shop with new cam bearings and a dip to to clean it. Still need to hone it out and assemble
