Another thing that helps is doing wheels first before the rest of the wash so you’re not spreading brake dust onto clean paint. I also stick to microfiber brushes for tight areas instead of stiff bristles. If you stay on top of it, you really don’t need anything too strong.
I’ve had good luck with P&S Brake Buster for regular cleaning. It’s much safer than the harsh acid-based stuff and you don’t have to worry as much about overspray on painted surfaces. I usually dilute it and use a soft wheel brush, and it handles normal brake dust really well. If the wheels are...
