Just finished listening to the latest interview by Steve Garrett on the Corvette Today podcast. His guest was Peter Brock, the legendary designer and excellent storyteller. He is 84 now but began his career at 19 as the youngest person in design at GM. He was not only responsible to a large...
I recently binged-listened all of the Corvette Today podcasts. Some really good interviews covering the gamut of Corvette interests, from restorers to people involved in racing to YouTubers. This is done to a professional standard and I highly recommend it.
I just have the LED reversing lights as there are legal issues about using HID headlights in Ontario and I don't want to fool with those. I have HID fog lights and they are quite white. I will check but I think they are 6000K.
I replaced my fob battery this Spring and I am often getting the "no fob detected" message. I did a check on the battery and it was okay. It seems when I put everything back together the contact is weak since by just squeezing the fob a bit everything works again.
I bought my 2008 C6 (3LT, 6MT, Z51, NPP) in Alberta for $37,000 in 2015. It had 31,000 kms on it and was impeccable. It was purchased as a CPO car at a Chevy dealership, which gave me piece of mind, and came with service records from that dealership as well. I have since added 50,000 kms in...
I bought cheap LED interior lights from the Middle Kingdom via the famous online auction site for something like $13 and they are terrific. I may buy another set and switch from white to red for that aircraft cockpit look. I paid considerably more for my white reversing LED lights, US$54.99...
When I bought my used 2008 C6, it had only front GM stoneguards/mud flaps but nothing on the back. I bought a new GM set and had the rears installed. Then recently Mr. Bad Driver hit a ladder in his garage and scraped up the right rear quarter panel, making necessary some painting but also a...
I ordered mine in March via the Sport Chek website--they are not sold in the stores but if they don't fit you can return them there. Also, not all sizes are listed but luckily mine was. I cannot praise these shoes highly enough if you are driving a manual car as I have now used mine on three...
I have to say the halo looks very good. Coincidentally, when I got my car it only had GM front splash guards and nothing on the back so I bought some inexpensive clip-ons for the rear as you can easily see where the stone chips form on the inner lip of the rear wheelwell. Anyway, they were...
Hello, all. I recently purchased a pair of Piloti Spyder S1 shoes through the on-line shop of SportChek, which Canadian Tire also owns. There is free shipping and if they don't fit it is easy to return them at a SportChek store. The prices are quite reasonable, I think. They are not offering...
Great photos! Thanks for sharing; we will be there in June after taking in "Eye on Design" in Detroit and looping down into Kentucky before heading to Indianapolis and Bloomington Gold.
Hello, all. I received a letter from GM this week which I have not heard anything about before. It tells me that the clutch on my 2008 C6 may fail if unapproved fluids are used to service the system or "a high-pressure pulse occurs during a clutch self-adjustment event. If the clutch system...
