    Nylon on the shifter fork wears down causing loss of engagement-will usually pop out of forward and reverse unless pressure applied to retain it.

    fyi, keep in mind 5 and 6 point belts are not street legal, must retain the original belts in conjunction with, been there, done that with the MOT. Race belts are certified and date punched for 24 months only

    buy the gm fuel system treatment, ford and chrys dealers even use it, it removes the oxidizing from the brass contact on the level sensor contact. Usually fill tank following adding, run 2 tanks through it and its back to normal sometimes is only a short term repair 1-2 years

    How many hours to R&R tranny in a C5?

    just over 7 hours for trans in and out, if adding clutch replace up front, add 2 more hours. Blockers are comon, like the synchro's, usually a visual during rebuild
