Believe me if the nuts loosen enough it will turn from a clicking to a grinding sound most noticeable when backing and turning at the same time.You will definitely hear it.

I guess it's a matter of if you want to take a chance on spending big bucks now or deferring it to the future Though in your case it might be a simple fix.I don't know .Can only relate to what happened to me.

Did you use new nuts and Loctite 272 As per SB?I split the difference and torqued to 150 and used Loctite.Will use old nuts and double nut.Thanks for the reply

Replacing rear axel nuts on my 2007 as per TSB 07-04-95-001a which states to torque nuts to 160 ft lbs. Getting feedback that torque should be 140 ft lbs. Any one able to substantiate correct torque.
