    Rear End Rebuild

Thanks for all the advice. I am going to try and use as much of the original parts as possible including the strut rods. I’ll post some up dates soon. Thanks again.

    Rear End Rebuild

Am rebuilding the rear end of my C3 and was wondering if anyone has any experience in this. Is it worth buying the whole package with the rods etc? How hard is it to push out and replace those bushings?

Just a few photo updates. Frame blasted and patched. All the usual holes for a c3. Decided to patch them rather than replace whole sections. Was harder than I thought but they worked out quite well. Rear end is rebuild and all new bearings and seals. Hope to have more updates for you guys soon.

Graham, yes I have the stock liners. Trying to keep everything close to factory ( engine not so much ) but hand was forced a bit on that. Cost is a concideration with this one as well. Reused all parts possible. Am pretty happy with how these drives are going to turn out.

Tuesday is frame blasting day and then I can finally start bolting things back on. It's been a long road!

Thanks. I appreciate the comments. I thought this level of restoration was out of my skill level as well but between the internet and this forum there is so much help and info out there I have just graduated to this level

While putting in the new body mounts I found some frame issues I want to address. So much easier this way and now I can do it right and completely.

Its been a while since I've posted. Was trying to do as much as I could without removing the body, but....

Engine is back today! Whoohoo!! Thanks to Les and Larry at Bel Engines in Edmonton. These guys are fantastic. Such quality work and attention to detail. Going to be a while before she cranks over but looking very forward to the day!

Just thought I would update on the job. All done with a drill and wire wheel. Finally bought a small blast cabinet for the small items and am kicking myself for not getting it sooner.!! The project is expanding....to the point where I am thinking about going for the frame off.
