Hi, I installed one on my C 6 convertible, easy install and works great. Wasn't cheap, I think I got it from Amazon. It gives you an audible beep whenever you come within one to two feet of a curb or wall.
I suggest you borrow or buy a OBD code reader and find out what code comes up. Once you know what code is stored in the engine computer look it up on the internet and it will tell you what the problem is.

Hi....thank you for your quick response. You put me on the right track. It turns out on 2009 Vette they didn't use carbon pad conductors instead they used copper land patterns. I took the mechanism apart cleaned the copper surfaces, and everything works fine. There is also a good video on this...
The membrane on the drivers side outside electric door opener sometimes requires several attempts to open the door. On occasion I can't open it at all. Anybody have any experience with this problem. Can this be repaired or does it need to be replaced.
I had a similar problem on my 2009 C6. Had a check engine light indicating I had a faulty gas cap or fuel vent solenoid malfunction. I replaced the solenoid and fixed my problem. BTW a fuel vent problem should not put you in limp mode, take a close look at the code number the check engine light...
