Part finally showed up on my buddys Z last week. Had it two days and tranny failed again. This time dealership is attempting to get a new complete transmission. No ETA so she’s parked again. Wow

Not sure what the hold up is. I’d be asking more questions… but maybe that’s just me. Lol

Update. Latest is they may have found a valve body found and could be here earliest June 15th then the repair will begin…

I think that’s where the problem is. GM says 500 miles but many on the USA forums say 1500 miles due to flat plane crank motor. I got 950kms in a week so won’t take me long to get to the 2400kms I’ll air on the side of caution. Terrible time of year to have a car like this sidelined given our...

Also Good lesson for C8 owners is to pick up a tow hook! Roadside sent a truck and they couldn’t pick it up as no tow hook….

Buddy of mine got stranded earlier in the week on side of the road with his new Z06. Couldn’t move. All kinds of warnings on the dash for tranny. Finally got it to dealer and they will be starting with a new valve body in the tranny. None available in Canada. Trying usa then last resort Tremec...

Just showed up at dealer. Ended up coming by truck 8 cars total from Ingersol due to the rail bottleneck. Good on GM for taking the initiative on this !!

Thanks ! I asked just that to the dealer and Id pay Thorsons to bring it down to me. I’ve received and shipped 4-5 using them and very pleased with them. Im now 10 days out , I just have to learn to be more patient and feel lucky I got one. 🙌🏻

Yes I’ve been in constant communication with them. Been at 4300 seems like forever. The last eta was May 5th then yesterday changed to 15th as it’s still sitting in Ingersol. I’ve had over 50 vehicles come in through this dealership since 1987. Not that this gives me any leg up on anything there...

Yeah I’ve had many Vettes including one of the first C8’s Delivery March 2020 but never did it take this long to arrive after leaving the plant. Crazy 🙈

Still sitting in Ingersol ON yard. Is this officially the black hole? Been there since March 22. I may have to get one of you to break into the compound for me lol
