Im trying to find a replacement clockspring and not much is coming up. Friend of mine is a parts manager at a local dealership and hes telling me I have to order the whole steering column, its nearly 1k, and there is three in the country. Ive had a look a rock auto, and none of my parts... -
Huge disappointment
Keyword there - Supercharged. I guess were comparing apples to oranges. Point being you can use 87 in a base engine , drive normally, and nothing will happen. -

That goes without saying, however its only under pretty aggressive use, you've gotta be really hot rodding it. Driving it normally will do nothing, slightly aggressive will start to ping (spark knock). Straight out of the owners manual 91 is recommended but not required, nothing less than 87 is... -

Wrong octane level from say 87 - 93 won't turn on the MIL BUT overfilling will. Wrong octane usage is more of a long game killer and will eventually cause misfires and a rough running engine. Hopefully whoever filled up the car stopped at the second click of the pump and didn't "Top it up". By... -

Finally got my Vette
Funny how that works eh lol. I figure i'll drive this for a couple years and either upgrade to a C7 or a late C6 GS. I do tend to keep stuff though, this car will most likely just have Grand Sport parts put on as the years go by. Brakes, coilsovers, and wide body would make my day with this car. -
