So I got the car back a couple days ago (13 days total). New transmission arrived on Friday and installation started on Monday morning picked up Tuesday night. No more squealing noise. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing going forward!
Apparently there used to be a "waiting list" for tranny's which caused long delays. I was told there was stock in Lansing MI and the dealership has done about 6 replacements to date so they have a system. I did find someone on a search who had pic's of the replacement and it doesn't look too...
Here's an update...got a call yesterday and a new transmission is on order (3-4 days). GM wanted to just repair it but the service manager at Cullen's in St. Catharines told them that with less than a thousand km's their customer was not going to accept a repair. should have it back in a week...
