    I am wrong about the WIX 10290XP. The XP filter is also 21 microns. It has a rating of 99% at 35 microns and this is very good. This is good info.

    Isn't the LT2 in the C8. I don't think we want to bring the C8 into this mess.

    Yes, I also agree, the OEM filter is the best, as long as it's the correct OEM GM filter. GM makes lots of filters that fit, but don't have the correct spec. You never know how the off brands might work for sure.

    I have also found the standard WIX 10290, NOT the XP is a good choice. It has a 21 micron filter material.

    So you rely on a parts catalog for your filter choice? The 22 psi bypass filter is the ONLY filter they recommend.
