I dont know... Maybe I jinx myself every year somehow... Well this year I wont be able to come because I contracted Covid. I am fully vaccinated but I have been isolating for 8 days now and feeling like hammered sh**. Its safer for me to miss one more show than to bring this to Ponoka. Sorry...
I am just wondering about the ponoka meet and greet sticky thread. The one about 2020 being canceled. Could it be removed? I cant help but think it may confuse people if they dont read all the way.
My 2 cents.
Dave.
This from the 3rd Annual Meet and greet. The little pink C4 hot rod unfortunately went missing. The young man driving is now 9.
Its been a long time coming but I believe you can count me in.
Dave
Coming from Sylvan lake this year. I will go to the A&W at gas alley to cruise to Ponoka.
that is my plan thus far... there are some volatile issues hovering over me atm.
fingers crossed, cant wait to see you all again.
Words simply cant describe my sadness when I heard of this today.
Don was a cut above. I only knew him for a short time, just the 3 years He and Bruce let Rainey and I help with the meet and greet.
In fact now that I think about it, this last show was the last time we spoke. For that I feel...
that pic was taken by Rainey. She is excited for the 5th annual for more pictures.
yep still have it here. even did a bit of restoration to it. It may show up on the 6th just to make Don jealous. That ZR1 of his doesnt hold a candle to Barbie. lol
This has been the coolest vette at our meets so far. Unfortunately my grandson Wesson will not be able to attend this year as they moved to BC late last year.
He does wish us a great meet and says hello to all.
Hey people I finally got around to making a new media thread on the 4th meet and greet.
I would have liked to see one of those pics in the local Pi$$ Poor newspaper.
enjoy the pics.
Engine swap complete.
Saturdays cruise will be part of the engine break in.
some small stuff to button up and final checks but seems good to go.
New engine finally in place. (after about 3 hours of wiggling.)
Its looking like I will. If all goes the way I think it will. (it rarely does).
right now its a "so far so good" thing.
one more pic i just took of cylinder 1. It seems the wrist pin broke loose and has been floating back and forth. Same scar on the opposite side of the cylinder. Lucky it...
And with just over 2 weeks to go...
Hezzy decides to do an engine swap.
While investigating an oil leak I found a huge score in cylinder #1. This engine was bored .060 already so its at its limits for machining.
Very depressing....
Ive ordered a Stage 1 performance engine from a shop...
