There is NO MORE manual cars anyway ! And our daily drivers had that foot switch back then when times were much simpler. I don't think evolution is always for the better.

My truck is a manual and have the foot switch and it's no problem AT ALL. You don't use it in trafic but mainly on hyway in the top gear.

You're right ! But sometimes it's worth a fun drive to get a good service. I know large city residents don't travel far for anything but I was from a remote area where we are use to long distance travel. For me an hour drive is still in my area, and as they say Montreal is 2 hours from Montreal. 🤣
