    Corvette restoration - Eastern Ontario

I did find this shop Vintage Corvette Restoration | Corvette Rehab | Ontario unfortunately it is west of the 416 but it is the only Corvette specialist in the area that I can find that does restorations. On his website he has done C1, C2 and C3. I have no experience with the shop but if you are...

    Corvette restoration - Eastern Ontario

I just noticed you mentioned restoration Getty is mainly mechanical repairs, maintenance and hi perf modifications. They don't do bodywork and paint. I am still looking for someone in the area that can paint my Vette I asked here but didn't get any responses.

    Corvette restoration - Eastern Ontario

Since I bought my 1979 in 2019 I have been taking it to Getty Automotive Services Ltd., 5340 Canotek Rd, Gloucester, ON K1J 9C7 (613) 747-0932, [email protected] I have been going mostly for oil changes but he also has done power steering work and AC work on my car. Got him to adjust the...

    got back my c3 finally...

Yes with the battery cutoff as long as you drove it at least once a week it would start but it was a weak start. We went away for a bit and didn't drive the Corvette and it did run down to the point where I needed to put a charger on it. With the tender it always has a strong start. I use the...

    got back my c3 finally...

Do you use a battery tender when I got my 79 in 2019 it had a battery cutoff but the battery would still run down over the week? I started using a tender last spring and it has a good charge every time I jump in it. I leave the leads on the battery and just use the quick disconnect when I want...

Question Hi I’m my name is Oledawg, I’m a new owner of a C3 vet.

Congrats on getting a C3. I have owned my 1979 4 spd with a built 30 over 355 since 2019. The previous owner had the engine built in the 2000s and he was using Royal Purple 10w30 when I bought it so I continued to use it up to my last oil change in the fall when my mechanic put Amsoil Signature...

ALERT !!! C8`s at COSTCO CANADA

I just got back from my COSTCO in Barrhaven, Ottawa and they had a good stock of the blue and white ones. I would have preferred the Dark Grey but I took the white. Thank you larryd for the heads up. They want $117.45 online for the same thing at Walmart.ca mind you I could have got it in dark...

    “The Wave”…….dead?

Finally encountered a C8 while driving my Dark Blue 79, a white C8 on old HWY 16 in Barrhaven. I waved but sadly no wave back and he was an older guy like me. I did get a wave from a C5 on the same ride plus a wave from what I think was a 55 Olds.

    Hesitation and Rough Idle?

Costco premium is also ethanol free, in Ontario at least.

    Save the wave

I am the same way, I actually got caught off guard the first time I got a wave from a non-corvette now I wave at any hot rod, older muscle car or antique and I get waves back. I haven't tried it with any new non-vette muscle or sports car. I would say my success rate with Corvettes is about 90%...

    “The Wave”…….dead?

I was out for a ride on Sunday and got the most enthusiastic wave ever from another C3 (a 77 I think). I waved first and then got a double wave, full arms out riding a roller coaster type of wave from the driver and passenger! I haven't run into a C8 yet but I have gotten waves from C3, C4, C5...

Question Anyone recognize this GT-1 C3 race car from 1978

No kidding if this happened back in the sixties when at the most all they had was a hoop roll bar I think there would have been deaths and probably fire. Apparently the worst injury was a broken arm. I found another version of the video where they slow it down at the end, that orange C2 drives...

Question Anyone recognize this GT-1 C3 race car from 1978

Found it The Mason car actually faired better than most since it was one of the last cars into the pile. The video was hard to watch for the damage to the cars plus I am amazed no one died. That orange C2 that drove under the white Camaro at the end barely slowed down. The in car video is...
