Yes with the battery cutoff as long as you drove it at least once a week it would start but it was a weak start. We went away for a bit and didn't drive the Corvette and it did run down to the point where I needed to put a charger on it. With the tender it always has a strong start. I use the... -

Finally encountered a C8 while driving my Dark Blue 79, a white C8 on old HWY 16 in Barrhaven. I waved but sadly no wave back and he was an older guy like me. I did get a wave from a C5 on the same ride plus a wave from what I think was a 55 Olds.- Doug's79

I am the same way, I actually got caught off guard the first time I got a wave from a non-corvette now I wave at any hot rod, older muscle car or antique and I get waves back. I haven't tried it with any new non-vette muscle or sports car. I would say my success rate with Corvettes is about 90%...- Doug's79

“The Wave”…….dead?
I was out for a ride on Sunday and got the most enthusiastic wave ever from another C3 (a 77 I think). I waved first and then got a double wave, full arms out riding a roller coaster type of wave from the driver and passenger! I haven't run into a C8 yet but I have gotten waves from C3, C4, C5...- Doug's79

Question Anyone recognize this GT-1 C3 race car from 1978
No kidding if this happened back in the sixties when at the most all they had was a hoop roll bar I think there would have been deaths and probably fire. Apparently the worst injury was a broken arm. I found another version of the video where they slow it down at the end, that orange C2 drives... -
