    Splash Guards?

The ACS ones looked great on the C7 and were about the same size as the factory ones on the C8. ACS parts also have a great reputation for fit and finish. I found that my C7 Grand Sport threw up more debris than the C8 does, probably because of the wider tires on the Grand Sport and the Z06. I...

    Splash Guards?

I had the wide ones on my C7 and they were necessary but on my C8 I ordered the regular ones and they are great especially if you have the aero sill extensions.

Ordering a Corvette 101 Start to delivery

Thanks Murray, worked fine. I had the one for 2022 and had to use it when I took my 2022 HTC into Humberview more than a year ago. Wanted to have the 2023 on file so that I could access it when I needed it for friends who have newer C8s.

    Insurance increases incoming

Always pays to shop around. When I used to insure two Goldwing motorcycles I used to end up changing insurers every 3-4 years as the market for motorcycle insurance was so volatile. With the Corvette I have found less expensive coverage than my current insurer for the Corvette in isolation but...

Mag Ride vs. No Mag Ride

Best explanation of this feature I have seen anywhere. Thanks Scott for taking the time to write it all out. From my own experience I would not have a Corvette without it even if I had to delay my order.

    Insurance increases incoming

Given the tremendous increases in building materials I'll be very surprised if home rates don't go up more than that. Also with all the lawyers advertising to take on slip and fall cases we are bound to see significant increases in home insurance. Sis or seven years ago I changed my home...

    Z51 C8

Thanks, I learned much of it from your postings over the past several years.

    Z51 C8

Now that is a good question. there are a number of components but essentially GM allocates numbers of vehicles to each dealer based on their past sales records. So if a dealer sold 60 C8s for the past two years they would probably get 55-65 allocations the following year give or take. The...

    Z51 C8

You may want to start looking for a higher volume dealer to get your servicing done. I see Hogan only sold 6 Corvettes of model year 2023. They are around 168th in Canada. The C8s are a very different machine from previous Corvettes and they have some unique challenges. Most of us don't want to...

    Z51 C8

As has been said by others it is probably a case of your dealer being given an allocation and at this time there is a constraint forcing you to take the Z51 if you want Mag ride which is a really nice option if you use your C8 for much touring. Given that you are not going to be able to drive it...

Ron Fellows Performance Driving School-Would you consider going?

For those watching this thread who are on the fence about going to the Spring Mountain school I urge you to take advantage of this amazing program. Don't let a lack of track experience hold you back. I have been to the program twice in the past four years and will go again if I get a new...

    Insurance increases incoming

Yep, yep. I pay less than half for my 2022 HTC C8 than I do for my 2021 Porsche Macan SUV even though I show the distance driven at roughly the same - 10-15k per year. I also paid more for my Honda Goldwing motorcycle before I sold it. Spoke to my insurance broker about it and she said that she...
