    I attended the ceremonies at the Brighton cenotaph, wearing my solitary medal for serving with NATO in Germany from 1961 to 1964, Then, as now, Russia was worrying the rest of the world. My prayers are now with the Ukraine population.

    When the roads are bad enough to need studded tires, I stay home in front of the fireplace with a beverage. Enjoying retirement for over eleven years now, and awaiting April 2022 when my 1989 C4 comes out of hibernation.

    Back about 1970 or so, I had studded rear tires on my 1967 Dodge Dart GT convertible, and a slightly sloping driveway. They chewed the hell out of the asphalt, proving that the decision to outlaw them was correct .

    You are right about that last sentence. I was one month shy of my 81st birthday when I bought my 1989 C4 convertible with 49,000 miles on the odometer. My first Corvette, after three BMW's (328ic, Z4, M6), Jaguar XK8, Porsche Boxster S, Mercedes SLK.

    I agree that BlackCircles is a great source for tires. I used them to buy new Michelin Pilot sport A/S tires to replace the run-flats on my BMW Z4 roadster. They shipped them to an installer of my choice near my home, and all went smoothly and at qood pricing too.
