I remember “they” used to say replace rotors when replacing pads due to growing and general wear.
I do not believe that to be the case any longer, depending on your braking history and use.
Pull the wheel off to get a good look at the rotor before you pay to replace.
New pads can never hurt.
Haha… no competition…
Just a few life events that resulted in sale of C8 in 2020, then purchase another in 2022, then got Z06 allocation in 2023, back and forth on a few things . And current purchase in 2025 of 70th Edition SR.
I agree above posts.
I have owned three C8 SR and a C8 Z06.
Z06 is an angry beast, SR is a more sublime, but can be awaken if you are willing to go there.
Go to the Ron fellows school and learn to drive the car correctly.
You will also find that in the hands of a more capable driver the SR will stand up to the Z06 on 9 out of 10 road course and in almost all street driving situations.
Wide body Looks and start up sound aside, the cars are more...
I have an opportunity to buy a 1964 coupe
Same owner 22 yrs. Complete car 327/4sp with A/C
Repainted, otherwise original.
Wonderful condition.
Struggling to set a fair price with nice older owner
Any help would be appreciated on a fair sale price
Hard to believe that that passed GM quality control, and Dealer PDI…
Was the car subject to any foul weather on the trip home?
Or as stated above covered on a trailer?
Very strange, but should be “easy” to fix….good as new
We seem to not remember what type of car we have, so GM helps us out by putting it on the car several times.
Take a guess how many times, and then go count.
See if you are close.
Post your guess and actual totals. 😊
