I'm slowly getting there in acquiring all 25 in HO scale. I just have to spot the right deal. Working on finding a deal on an O scale model as well for comparison.
Attached are some pics of the 1/32 scale Big Boy #4012 running on the Rocky Mountain Garden Railroad Society's display.
Both of those Big Boy models are G guage. The 4012 is a brass model at 1/32 scale with same scale Corvette and Chevy pick-up next to it - weighs 35lbs engine & tender combined. The 4014 is slightly bigger at 1/29 scale and is much heavier (being a diecast model) at 75lbs engine & tender combined.
Big Boy is my favourite as well. I'm trying to collect all 25 cab numbers in HO scale - without renumbering any. I'm missing 8 but have a couple of duplicates and one unpainted brass model. I also have two in G guage and two in N scale and a plastic HO model of a "Canadian Pacific" Big Boy!
It's actually 4014 undergoing restoration to running condition. 4012 pictured here will be getting a cosmetic restoration from the crews at Steamtown in Scranton, PA where it permanently resides. 4014 was preserved in Pomona, CA but was reacquired by Union Pacific in 2012 and towed to Cheyenne...
Yes I can add more detail. The first pic is of Big Boy 4012 which is an Accucraft brass model in 1/32 scale. It weighs about 35lbs (combined engine and tender). The second pic is Big Boy 4014 which is a die cast model in 1/29 scale and weighs about 75lbs (combined engine and tender). It is...
The 76 is metallic silver with red interior. it has a '79 - 80 style spoiler bumper and has aftermarket 5- spoke wheels, dual exhaust with long - tube headers on a 400ci engine. I stopped and checked out their car on Canada Day and gave them an application. The car has some slight front end...
I'll send an email to all those registered this weekend with further info. One question I've had is if the Saturday night buffet dinner is open to all ages with the bar open. I confirmed with the Ag Society and the answer is yes - all ages welcome.
Some model year Corvette's coming (from...

Two weeks away and so much work to do. Working on the registration list last couple of days. Next is to get my military and Cruiser's team together for briefings. Also trying to get historical displays done. Over 100 cars registered with over 50 of them Corvette's.
Too bad, I was going to ask you if you'd be interested in bringing it up to the Cold Lake Air Show 19-22 July. The show dates are 21-22 July, but we are having an A&W cruise night on the 19th and Full Throttle downtown street party plus photo shoot with static aircraft on the 20th. Saturday...
I've attached an updated registration form. Nobody gets onto the base without being pre-registered as the number of exhibitor passes need to be identified a couple of weeks in advance which is why the cut-off date is 30 June 2018. The military airfield is a restricted area and it is required...
