I recently needed to take the gas tank out because it was leaking, I wanted to paint it so prevent any further rust development. When I started cleaning it I found this number stamped on the tank, I also found what is left of the original build sheet which I am sooo exited about!

Hi, I currently have sport mirrors on my 73 and I can’t see anything out of them. I’m thinking of putting on the original Chrome mirrors. Has anyone done this before? Is it difficult?

Hi, In my 73 I have a dashboard that is in pretty rough condition. The dashboard is flaking. Has anybody else had this issue? I want to restore it a would preferably not want to buy a new dashboard. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I’m wondering if someone has a recommendation for grease for my 73? This is for the ball joints, tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, clutch z-bar cross shaft and power steering control valve. I have seen that there are a lot of different ones but I don’t know which one. I have found this one...

Maybe these pictures are better, the door is pushed a few millimeters inward.

I have noticed that on my 73 the bottom part of the driver side door is pushed inward. I have also noticed that there is a problem with the window, when I close the door with the window closed there is always a gap at the front. When I lower and raise the window again the problem fixes itself...

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, in the owner manual I bought it recommended every 2 years but I was thinking every 5 years as well. Thank you so much for your tip, I didn’t know you had to replace the antifreeze at all, that will save me a lot of hose replacing in the future. :D

Thank you so much for the advice, yeah when I have a little more time I will try replacing the gasket. I’m not really handy but I’m learning as I go, with the help of some books I bought. I’m really enjoying my vette so for thank you. :D

Yeah I have already replaced the lower radiator hose and the antifreeze, so that’s all good. Thank you for the tip. :D
