Hello Graham,
First off, I would like to say that it was my stepdaughters fault! My stepdaughter and I were out on some windy roads trying to see how many "G's" we could pull. When around the last corner, unable to see up the road due to some trees, there was Mr. Officer! Luckily he was in the middle of spinning a donut and ticketing the guy that was about 1/4 mile in front of us. When we came around the corner he was in the middle of the highway and realized that he didn't have to time to complete his donut. The officer, in total shock and disbelief of our sudden appearance, abandoned his maneuver. Meanwhile, somehow he said that he was only able to lock his radar on us at 87 kms. As he was telling me this, I'm doing the math in my head on how much the ticket was going to be. 27 kms over shouldn't be too bad. He gave me a big lecture on how Speed Kills and as a Class 1 driver I should know better. He admired the car for sometime then we were able to take the picture and he carried on his way. He really loved the car and enjoyed giving me crap in front of my stepdaughter. So much so, that he didn't give me a ticket!! As we drove away it was now time to recall the event. The stepdaughter said that, the last speed that she remembered seeing as we came out of the curve was 118 kms. I told her, that she must be mistaken as she was too busy holding on!! We later seen the same office at a red light as we cruised through town. As he pulled beside us, he rolled down his window and I asked him "Are you following us?" His reply was "Nope, but I did notice how slow you were going through town!" My comment back was "Yes Officer, I have learned my lesson!!" We laughed and carried on our seperate ways!
That's just bad form, turning on your lights after losing a drag race! Oh wait I think I beat the same guy. His car is nowhere near as fast as he thought I guess.
